The Good Doctor – Medicine For The Heart
This show premiered last fall and I’ll admit I was interested but not excited to watch the first episode. My husband set the DVR and we set aside some time later that evening to tune in – I was shocked at how quickly and viscerally I was drawn into the show. It reminded me of when the show ER premiered back in the day. As the weeks went on, the show became more and more engaging. Seeing Freddy Highmore’s portrayal of Shaun Murphy, an autistic surgical resident, became a weekly date night for me and my husband. Seeing his struggles, his missteps and his triumphs are not just entertaining, they’re riveting. The writers put a lot of time and effort into making the situations realistic and Highmore’s performance is amazing. The new season premieres on CBS Monday, September 24, 2018 – I can’t wait!
